This is an ongoing list of opportunities for experienced and novice artists alike. Some are put on by SCAAC, and are listed as such. Others are calls we've found out about from other art organizations and members of our community.

Stanwood Tattoo (ongoing)

Stanwood Tattoo Company is looking for local artists to highlight monthly in their shop! Opportunity to sell your art or just display, it's up to you! We encourage youth, disabled/neurodivergent, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ artists to inquire!

Perry + Carlson (ongoing)

Perry and Carlson Gallery shows local, national and international artist’s work; focusing on contemporary and conceptual art in all media. The Gallery welcomes submissions from artists seeking group and solo show opportunities.

  • ​We do not make appointments to view artwork or portfolios

  • Artists may email examples of their work to christian@perryandcarlson.com

  • Please include: a link to your website if it contains: images, contact information, curriculum vitae, and artist’s statement.

  • Or, in the body of the email include: artist's statement, curriculum vitae, and images (including title, size, medium and date). We will not open attachments. Note: please check size of email and limit to 10MB

Future Art Center Windows (ongoing)

SCAAC is currently designing an art center in Stanwood - it will have galleries, classrooms, a gift shop and more. The new building will be constructed on the site of the former furniture store on Stanwood's west end. (Did you know it used to be a hardware store?) While we wait for construction to begin, why not bring a little beauty to the building?

Film Location - Submit your property! (ongoing)

Do you own an incredible location that you would like to see in a movie or television series? Washington Filmworks encourages you to submit your location for our online location database.

LIDO Collective (ongoing)

Interested in having your work featured on consignment at downtown Mount Vernon's beautiful new retail space, the LIDO Collective?

LIDO Collective is the Mount Vernon Downtown Association's latest economic development initiative, designed to help entrepreneurial artists and artisan makers by providing a retail outlet for locally made gifts and art in a year-round brick and mortar location. The LIDO Collective is also designed to increase foot traffic to the historic downtown district by providing additional unique retail offerings.

88th Ave Arch Banners: Summer 2023 & Winter 2024

City of Stanwood & SCAAC

SCAAC received 63 banner submissions in round 1 (summer 2023) and 112 in round 2 (winter 2024). In both rounds, a panel of artists, business owners and community members reviewed all submissions and made recommendations that were approved by Economic Development Committee & City Council.
