Calls for Art

This is an ongoing list of opportunities for experienced and novice artists alike. Some are put on by SCAAC, and are listed as such. Others are calls we've found out about from other art organizations and members of our community.

If you know of a call for art in our area, or would like yours to be listed, please send an email to callforart@scaacwa.org.

Northwest Glass Quest 2025 Poster

Camano Island Chamber of Commerce

The goal of this project is to showcase locally created art for the annual Northwest Glass Quest poster. The desired outcome is that every year we would have a different poster, created by a local artist to promote this annual event. The posters themselves would become special keepsake items and add to the creativity of the event.

We understand the time and commitment it takes to create a finalized piece of artwork. Submitted artwork for review can be in DRAFT or OUTLINE form.  Please provide as much detail as possible in terms of your vision of the artwork.

Artwork should capture the essence of The Northwest Glass Quest event – an event that highlights the natural beauty of our area and our community.  “Come for the Adventure, Enjoy the Journey” was the tagline used in 2023, along with “Embrace the Thrill of the Hunt.” In addition, this event is designed to support our business community during the typically slow month of February.  More information about the event can be found here: www.northwestglassquest.com.

Future Art Center Windows

SCAAC is currently designing an art center in Stanwood - it will have galleries, classrooms, a gift shop and more. The new building will be constructed on the site of the former furniture store on Stanwood's west end. (Did you know it used to be a hardware store?) While we wait for construction to begin, why not bring a little beauty to the building?
