Experience the Meyer: Intro to Glass Fusing

Class Description:

Students will create their own small dish from glass. They will develop an abstract or realistic miniature design out of fusible glass on a clear round or square background. They will learn how to shape design elements by cutting or nipping the glass and placing the pieces onto the background base using a “glue” that will burn off in the kiln. Pieces will be fired twice in the kiln after class – once to fuse the glass into a solid form and another time to slump it in a mold to form a shallow dish.  The finished work will be available to pick up in the next week.
