About the event
Get the most out of your camera - even if it's a cell phone! You've always got it with you, so use it to take better pics.Â
The quality of an image’s composition can support or distract from  a photo’s subject or message. Learn the basic building blocks for effective arrangement of subject matter within an image. In this class, you'll learn how the elements of art apply to photography, and how to take pics you'll be excited to share. We will discuss (week 1) point, (week 2) line, (week 3) shape and (week 4) color. Bring a point and shoot camera or a cellphone.
Each class is a different, stand alone lesson. Students are welcome to sign up for multiple sessions. Classes are offered 4 Wednesday's in a row: Sept 28, Oct 5, 12, & 19 from 2:30 4pm at the Community Resource Center of Stanwood Camano.
This class is open to youth ages 12 - 18.Â
