About the event
Class Description:
Join us on Saturday, August 8 for a creative Rock Wrapping class led by local artist John Custer at beautiful Camano Island State Park. Transform a simple beach stone into a beautiful decorative piece that can be displayed as a paperweight, table accent, or grouped with other treasures in a basket or bowl. Whether you're discovering this craft for the first time or simply looking for a relaxing creative experience, you'll enjoy making something special in one of Camano Island's most scenic settings. Display your finished piece somewhere you'll see it often—it will serve as a lasting reminder of your time creating by the shore.
Materials provided: Camano Island beach rocks, Hamburg cane, binder cane, dyed cane and twigs
The class will be held at the Lowell Point Kitchen Shelter, featuring abundant windows and beautiful views, with the comfort of being indoors and sheltered from the wind.
