Workshop: Soapbox Derby Poster Contest

Your artwork could appear on the 2023 Soap Box Derby poster!

The Windermere Stanwood-Camano Soap Box Derby race is the largest soap box derby race west of the Mississippi! Over 100 cars race down a 1,000 track in a double elimination race on Father's Day weekend. There are hundreds of spectators at this all-day event. It's incredible!

And we need your help to design the poster that promotes this event.

Just like the folks at Arrowhead Ranch host build clinics for the cars, SCAAC is hosting design workshops for the poster. All materials will be provided and artists will help guide participants in their designs.

There are 3 sessions (held in tandem with the build clinics): April 13 April 20 April 27

If you can't make it to the design workshops, you are welcome to pick up a poster at the Windermere Camano office. Completed posters can be handed in at the design workshops or dropped off at the Windermere Camano office.

Jurors will select the winner on April 28th, and the poster will be printed and plastered all over town!

All submitted artwork will be on display at SCAAC's Mobile Art Center on race day.
